Skylar's Birthday Milestone Board

Last year I made a chalkboard milestone poster for Skylar's 1st Birthday.  I wanted to do another Milestone board but a little different this year!

So I came up with the cutest idea to make it shaped as a number 2!
Her birthday theme is Rainbows so I was able to use all the fun colors on her board.

Working on her Name...

Name finished!
Now to add all the fun things that she can do!!

Height/weight/teeth

The little things:
What a great accomplishment to be able to say the ABC's before her 2nd birthday!!  She will skip a few letters here and there but she is getting the hang of it!!  We practice every day

Skylar likes to count from 1-10 and just the other day I counted to 15 and she repeated 11-15 and now she includes those numbers when she counts!!  She likes to skip the number 3 but we are so proud!!

We have been working really hard on learning colors and Skylar is so smart she knows more than 13 colors!!

I wanted to include what she loves to do at this age so we can look back and never forget how much fun the little things were!!

The whole finished board:

Standing view:

At the birthday party we are going to have all the guests sign a little note in the empty space that's left in the middle area!!

Skylar's 2nd Birthday Outfit

This is Skylar's Birthday Outfit!  My mom helped me make the skirt since she is better at sewing.

I made the little flowers on the shirt and I actually attached the colorful ruffles on the skirt to the pair of shorts!!!

I think Skylar is ready for her birthday to be here!  She is just fascinated by the shirt!!

Now only 12 more to make...that's a lot. Better get back to it!!

Monday Night Dinner

Tonight I made Baked Ravioli and some veggies! I forgot to take the picture before we scooped it out of the pan.

Here it is on the plate

It was really yummy and so easy!
Just some frozen 5 cheese ravioli, ragu pasta sauce and mozzarella cheese!!

Baked for about 15 minutes until it was hot and bubbly!

Made some peas, green beans and onions to go with it.  Super quick!!
Frozen green beans, frozen peas, white onion chopped and some garlic seasoning!

Maxi Skirt

I have been in the mood to make Maxi Skirts!! They are so easy and simple and will look great all Spring and Summer long.
I am not the best at sewing but I try and I am happy with the end result!  Even though it usually takes me a really long time to make it.
I recently found this awesome fabric that was reversible at Jo-Ann fabrics and it was on SALE!!!!

I really liked the Striped side and wanted that to be the main color but I also wanted to wear the polka dots every once in a while.

So I added some stripes down the side to cover up the seams.

This is the whole skirt!  Just long and has a little flare towards the bottom.

I added the polka dots around the waistband to give it a little pop as well!

I plan to wear these all Spring and Summer and Pair them with a fun tank top in Black or White or Gray!  Who knows!  Have fun with bright colors!!

Monday Lunch Menu

I have been trying a lot of new recepies and I thought I would share them with you!! We really enjoy them and the meals are very easy to make!!
Today's Lunch was :
Chicken Taco Rollup's
I used Shredded Canned Chicken, a package of cream cheese, a little bit of Taco Seasoning, about half a can of Rotel and about 1 cup of shredded mexican cheese blend.  You mix everything up until its all combined together.  Then I got out a flour tortilla and spread the mixture over the whole tortilla.  I rolled up it and cut into bite size pinwheels.
We will get about 2 lunches out of this for my Husband, Daughter and myself.
